Doctrinal Statement
- We
believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word, written by
men who were divinely and uniquely inspired and that it is our
supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice. We
affirm our belief in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the
Scriptures in their original autographs and that it has been
super-naturally preserved for us through the Byzantine family
of texts, the Textus Receptus and the King
James Translation.
- We believe in one God eternally existing in three
persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness
(Rev.15:4)
unchangeable, (
Mal. 3:6) Omniscient (I
John 3:20b) Omnipotent (Matt.
28:18) Omnipresent, (Psalm
139:7-11) that He concerns himself mercifullyin the
affairs of men and hears and answers prayer.
- We
believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son (John
3:16), born of a virgin (Isaiah
7:14& Matt
1:23), sinless in His life (John
8:46 & Matt.
3:17) and that He possesses all the attributes of God
the father. We believe in His incarnation (I
Tim. 3:16), vicarious atonement (Rom.
5:8) bodily resurrection (Luke
24:6 & I
Cor. 15:3-8), ascension (Acts
1:9), High Priestly intercession (Heb.
7:25) and His personal, visible, pre-millennial return.
- We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the third
Person of the Trinity, Who also possesses all the attributes
of God the Father. We believe that He was active in
creation, and that He is sent forth from God to convict the
world of sin, of
righteousness, of judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify,
comfort and seal unto the day of redemption those who trust
in Jesus Christ. (John
16:7-11 & John
14:16 & Eph.
1:13)
- We believe that the universe and "All
things" were created by the Triune God (Gen.
1:1 & John
1:3), including all vegetable and animal life (Gen.
1:29-30) and that man is the object of God’s special
creation and not the product of evolution. (Gen.
2:7)
- We believe that man was created innocent (Gen.
2:25), in the image of God (Gen.
1:26-27 & Gen.
9:6), that by disobedience, man fell (Gen.
2:17 & Gen.
3:6-7), that he is a sinner today, both by nature and by
choice (Rom.
3:10 & Rom.
3:23), and that the wages of sin is death, but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom.
6:23)
- We believe that salvation is provided totally by
God, (Eph.
2:8-9) and that since man is a sinner, he is incapable
of saving himself. (Rom
3:20) but that God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life. (John
3:16). We believe that theblood of Christ alone, can
atone for man’s sin and provide redemption. (IPet.
1:18-19) Therefore, all who receive Christ are saved (John
1:12 & Acts
16:31) while all who refuse Him are eternally lost.
- We believe in the Church, the body of Christ, (Eph.
1:22-23 & Eph.
5:25-27) and also in local Churches (Rom.
16:3-5 & Acts
14:23) which have the responsibility of administrating
the ordinances, Baptism, which pictures to us His death,
burial and Resurrection and identifies us with Christ (Col.
2:12, Rom.
6:4 & Matt.
28:19) The Lord’s Supper,which is a memorial of His
shed blood, His broken body and is a reminder of His promise
to return. (I
Cor. 11:23-32 & Mark
1:22-26), administrating discipline, fellowship and
carrying out the Great Commission.
- We believe that a local Church is an autonomous
body under the authority of Jesus Christ who alone is her
head (Eph.
5:23) independent from any outside authority,
ecclesiastical or civil.
- We believe that the believer should live a life
of separation
from the world (II
Cor. 6:14-17, James
4:4 & I
John 2:15) and a life of dedication to Christ (Rom.
12:1-2) and that he should avoid the very appearance of
evil. (I
Thes. 5:22)
- We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture or
"appearing" of Christ (Tit.
2:13) to catch away His own: (I
Thes. 4:16-18, I
Cor. 15:51-57 & Rev.
3:10) and also in His personal, visible, pre-millennial
return to the earth, which will be for a thousand years. (Acts
1:10-11, Rev.
19:11-16 & Rev.
20:4-6)
